Papyrus - Synthetic Paper Compound

PLUSS® announces the launch of its compound for producing blown and cast film based synthetic paper. Aptly termed Papyrus, this compound is being launched in India for the first time.

The compound can be coextruded as skin layer in a two, three or five layer film construction for synthetic paper with density 0.95 to 1.05. Film thus made has paper like appearance and feel. It is writable with pencil, ballpen and markers with solvent based inks. Excellent print quality is achievable using a variety of printing techniques like silk screen, offset, gravure, and flexography.

The film has dead fold characteristics like paper. It is not affected by water or moisture. Synthetic paper made using the compound is high in both tensile and tear strength, good in opticals and aesthetic appeal, making it useful in applications like printing of calendars, brochures, machine manuals, labels etc. where good strength, durability and aesthetics are desirable
